Code of Conduct for the Teaching Staff
The faculty members and staff of our college also needs to adhere to strict code of conduct just like the students and have to maintain strict discipline. Like the students they too are from diverse cultural and linguistic background. The following code of conduct needs to well maintained.
1. Each member of college staff is expected to maintain the cultural and religious harmony.
2. Teachers should refrain from allowing considerations of caste, creed, religion, race or sex in their professional endeavor.
3. The college authority encourages to build a very cordial and friendly atmosphere between the students and the teachers.
4. Teachers are expected to participate in extension, co-curricular and extracurricular activities including community service.
5. Teachers should respect the right and dignity of the student in expressing his/her opinion.
6. Teachers are expected to be affectionate towards the students and not to behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.
7. College property, furniture, library books must be treated with due care.
8. There should be mutual respect among the juniors and seniors. Juniors should respect the seniors and the same time the seniors should also maintain reverence and dignity towards their juniors.
9. There should be healthy environment inside the campus, and everyone should refrain from immoral politics.
10. Everyone should be having proper sense of their dress and should not wear any such clothes which is unpleasant for others. The college encourages formal wear inside the college campus.
Code of conduct for Principal/TIC
Kalimpong College is a pioneer higher educational institution in the district, with the stakeholders belonging to below poverty line groups, women, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes and minorities and the first-generation learners. The Principal/TIC is not only head of the institution but is the role model for the college students, so they should live by examples.
1. He/She should be fair, honest, and law abiding.
2. Should have vision and mission for the college.
3. Should be free from any kind of biasness and be impartial to all.
4. Carry oneself with highest degree of integrity.
5. Should be able to lead and guide the fellow staff and students.
6. Should be sensitive and sympathetic towards the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and the minority groups.
7. Remain in duty during college hours.
8. Should protect the collective interest of the different sections of the institutions so that each can perform to their fullest and give their best.
9. Must not misappropriate college property.
10. Should ensure quality in education and academic activities.
For the Administrative or Non-Teaching Staff
There is a very cordial relationship among the teachers, students and the administrative staff in Kalimpong college. Just like others, there are certain guidelines for the administrative staff too.
1. All the non-teaching members are expected to report on time.
2. They should be in duty during college hours.
3. They are expected to follow all the rules and regulations of the college.
4. Should be honest and maintain the integrity.
5. They should be polite and co-operative towards the students and teachers.
6. Should be polite and act compassionately towards parents/guardians.
7. They should maintain and respect the hierarchy of the administration.
8. Must not misappropriate college property.
9. Must not divulge official secret, alter or forge official documents.
10. Should not remain absent without prior permission.
11. Should perform all duties of college allotted by the HOI and the Office Head.

Code of Conduct for the college students
The students of Kalimpong College are from diverse background. They come from different socio-cultural, ethno-religious groups. So, it is very important for the authority to maintain cordiality among its students as well as the staffs. There are a few guidelines for the students to follow and adopt them while at the college:
1. The students need to honor and safeguard the beautiful bio-diversity.
2. Students need to maintain the secular atmosphere of the college.
3. Students need to abide by various ethical values and gender sensitization which are delivered during different orientation programmes of the college.
4. There should be no Gender discrimination or gender barriers. College authority has zero toleration on gender bias.
5. Ragging is an offence and is strictly prohibited in the college campus. Any student involved in such activities will be taken strict legal action and could be even expelled from the college if found guilty.
6. Consuming Alcohol, Gutka and smoking is strictly Prohibited in the premises of the college.
7. Use of mobile phones in the class rooms, library etc. is prohibited.
8. The students are expected to treat the members of the entire college staff and their fellow students with courtesy both in and outside the college. There must be no disorderly or offensive conduct at any time. Strict action may be taken in such matters.
9. Impersonation at Roll call is an offence.
10. The students should engage in programmes like college cleaning on regular basis. Their participation in such programmes helps to inculcate a sense of belonging and also to make them aware of clean environment.
11. As the campus is located in the midst of woods the students are taught to respect and conserve these green surroundings.
12. College property, furniture, library books must be treated with due care. Otherwise, strict and disciplinaryaction may be taken.
